Mary Sontheimer (Clark)

Mary Sontheimer Clark passed away on July 19, 2001 at the age of 44 in Overland Park, KS

Mary is survived by her Husband, Terry Clark; daughter Kelly; and son Kevin, all of the home; 2 brothers, Tom Sontheimer and wife Cathy; and William Sontheimer, all of St. Joseph, MO as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Mary L. (Sontheimer) Clark    1957-2001

     OVERLAND PARK, Kan - Mary L. (Sontheimer) Clark, 44, Overland Park, formerly of St. Joseph, died Thursday, July 19, 2001 at her home.

     Mrs. Clark was employed by the United States Postal Service, Internal Revenue Service and Marine Corps Finance Center before her career with the Environmental Protection Agency in 1984.

     Born May 22, 1957, in St. Joseph, she lived in Kansas City area since 1981.

     Mrs. Clark was a graduate of Lafayette High School and received her bachelor of science in business administration from Missouri Western State College, both of St. Joseph.  She was a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority and Knox Presbyterian Church of which she was active in Stephen Ministry.

     Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Susie Sontheimer.

     Surviving: her husband of 18 years, Terry of the home; a daughter, Kelly Clark of the home; a son Kevin, of the home; two brothers, Tom and William Sontheimer, both of St. Joseph.

     Service:  10 a.m. Monday, Knox Presbyterian Church, Overland Park.  Burial: Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, Kan.  Family visitation: 4 to 7 pm., Sunday at the Porter Funeral Home, Lenexa.  Memorials may be made to her church.

Lenetta Banks (Starr)


I was really shocked to learn about Mary's death she was such a sweet girl. I grew up with her and went to school with her from kindergarden through high school. Marylou you will be truly missed.
