PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - It is with great sorrow I announce the passing of my husband, Dennis Dale Ott, 67, after a brief battle with cancer, on May 5 2023.

Dennis grew up in St. Joseph and graduated from Lafayette High School in 1975.  He went on to drive trucks for 35 years and retired from ABF Freight.  He had a passion for antique cars and was a member of several car clubs, Florida West Coast and Peace River to name a couple.  He enjoyed life with his wife, Cheryl, and their dog, Trixie, and going to the many car shows and cruise ins.

He leaves behind his wife, Cheryl; father, Austin; mother, Norma; sister, Debbie (Jim); son, Stephen (Andrea); daughter, Heather (Ben); eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a niece and nephew.

No services will be held at his request but there will be a car show in his memory in the near future.
